Warner Bros. Entertainment will release its high-definition DVD titles exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format later this year.

I think the HD-DVD format should be the next generation DVD. Reasons for this is: there are a number of simple affortable HD-DVD authoring programs avilable now that permit todays HD enthusiasts to create and burn their own HD-DVD's on standard single and double layer DVD media.
Todays comercially available, affortable HD-DVD players will play them with crystal clarity.

There is no way or means to accomplish that with the Blu/Ray format. Anythting connected with 'Blu/Ray' is expensive

HD-DVD titles incorporate many desirable features that consumers want.

Anything connected with HD-DVD is affortable, creative and makes a lot of sense.Dieter Jaeger
