Mobile WiMAX—based on the IEEE 802.16e standard—is a major, long-term opportunity for service providers, device makers and chipset vendors. To capitalize on that opportunity, both service providers and device makers should pay close attention to not only the Wave 2 chipset features, but also the qualifications and experience of the vendors producing those chips.
