Author: ATPV Level: Interns Points: 270		Lamentably, while the industry is looking into China for low-cost production, it is also here that reports of rampant violation of IP rights abound. As of September last year, the WTO started a probe on the country (see story: WTO launches formal investigation on China piracy case). I hope the issue will be resolved and more stringent IP protection rules be put in place.

Author: SeanN Level: Interns Points: 105		Until end users start putting priority on warranty and traceability instead of lowest price, the problem of counterfeit/remarked parts will continue to escalate.These people know what the market price is and yet they insist on giving targets at half the cost of manufacturers quote, simply because a broker has already offered at that price. How many times do they need to receive counterfeit parts before they review their purchasing practices.
