According to research findings by BDO Seidman LLP, a professional services firm, 'competition and consolidation in technology sector' came in as the biggest concern of U.S. tech companies.

This is pretty much a laundry list of normal things in business. What these companies should be losing sleep over is

1) How do we add value to shareholders.

The main reason for the rest of the problems/concerns are because this is not on top of the list. The list is mainly based on a different optimization
2) How do management protect their jobs and keep cashing in
