The question raised is whether the delivery of composite video and monoaural audio is "enough"? CCTV security products, although largely analog today, appear to be trending more and more towards Internet protocol based "network cameras". This product does not qualify, and in fact may present potential interference to other WiFi based data networks in the near vacinity. So, while it may represent a "good buy" for niche application, it may not be a good overall CCTV play. More interesting is Axis, Bosch, and Sony's recently announced effort to establish a common industry standard for network video equipment.
