Sean Neeson, a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Northern Ireland and the Alliance party enterprise spokesperson, has welcomed a 120 million-pound (about $240 million) investment by Seagate in its Londonderry site, but has commented that he would prefer to see the creation of new jobs instead.

I agree with Irish politician Sean Neeson that investment should not only be focused on upgrading facilities but also in generating employment. With the global crises that we are experiencing, many families are burdened by the rising food and fuel prices and people need jobs to survive. Seagate's investment will definitely be more appreciated if this can give more jobs to the people of North Ireland.
