Hi Rick, When you ask What's the Finnish term for "design by committee"?, I think you're being unduly prejudiced against committees. Much of the best work I have seen over my 20 year career in Psion and Symbian involved very considerable collaboration processes (or "committees", if you will). I've written more about this at http://www.dw2-0.com/2008/08/who-says-that-design-by-committee-must.html // David Wood, Symbian

Rick, When you ask what's the Finnish for "design by committee", I think you're being unfair to some very significant items of complex product functionality that HAVE in practice been designed by sophisticated collaborative processes. I've seen that happen a lot during my 20 year career at both Psion and Symbian. I've written more about this at: http://www.dw2-0.com/2008/08/who-says-that-design-by-committee-must.html // David Wood, Symbian
