The above article discusses IP and is NOT about Internet Protocol (mentioned in the Related info below the article). It stands for Intellectual Property. As in Silicon or Verification or Embedded SW components that can help reduce development/verification of a larger product. Internet Protocol and Intellectual Property have two very different definitions.
