It won't be long before your camera phone will turn into a real camera with a real phone. But what will it take to make that happen? And will it affect all—even the most basic phones?

=== your camera phone will turn into a real camera with a real phone=== No, its certainly not. Author forget the a real camera will has a good optical lens! The lens in MB is too tiny to shot a good qualty pic. Only higher pixels is not enough. -- Greeting from China

congratulation for presenting such high resolution camera chip but i don't think it will be advantage to the society.Present days most of images captured by digital camera are used on internet,for web application image size should be as low as possible to save bandwidth and time. Unfortunately I am not able to find out for which market segment this product will suit.
