Intel, Foxconn and a number of other big guys have placed heavy bets on Vietnam--the next 'Chindia' and the industry's new darling. Intel alone has committed $1 billion in investments and is looking to employing 4,000 when its Vietnam operation starts rolling in 2009. But Foxconn is the bigger bettor, with its commitment of $5 billion and 300,000 hirees in the next five years. With enough juicy jobs to go around, is the Vietnamese engineer happy? What do you love most about being an engineer in Asia's rising superstar? What exactly do you look for in an ideal job?

Vietnam has a lot of potentials. Good thing that the government is pro-business. But it has a long way to go before catching up with China or India.
