MCUs are generally considered a mature design item given the long track record and widespread use of 8bit MCUs. Over the past five years or so, 16bit and 32bit MCUs have made up their mark.
Their initial uptake was rather slow. But with the recent rise of automotive and consumer applications, these higher-end units are rising in terms of design wins.
Do Asian design engineers see this shift and do they have sufficient visibility on different design aspects related to 16 bit and 32bit MCUs.
And do design engineers in Asia have access to new tools so they can effectively implement these new MCUs in their system design?
It'd be nice to hear some comments from designers on the ground. M. A. Kamran
