Often, you may want to enjoy video or DVD on PS3
anywhere and anytime, and usually you need to prepare a
PS3 compatible-video file for its format’s limitation. Okay, if you don’t have PS3 compatible-video files, you could convert your un-compatible videos or DVD to MP4 acceptable to PS3 via the best PS3 Video Converter or DVD to PS3 Converter. That means nearly all kinds of video and DVD can be played on PS3 with these programs.

Tips: PlayStation 3 can accept high-definition videos(1080p, > 40Mbps). I played a movie with 1080p resolution and 16Mbps bitrate on PS3, and the video dispalyed unexpected clear and smooth.
But, to get a 1080p or 1080p video is not a good choice. Since it is hard to find such high-definition source videos and it will occupy a large space. In general, a video file with 1080p resolution and 16Mbps bitrate would occupy about 20GB space for 2 hours. As we know, SDs and popular videos online usually are 720*480 or 640*480 video resolution and about 4 Mbps bitrate. After testing several times, it is a good choice to convert video with 480p and 2.5Mbps which could be nearly the same quality of DVD and only about 2GB for 2 hours.
Part one: Converting videos to mp4 for playback on PS3.
1. First download and install this program Moyea Video Converter.
2. Please import the videos you’d like to convert.
3. Set advanced settings.
After clicking the “Settings” button, the “Profile” window will popup. You can select mp4 as the output format from the drop-down list. At the same time, you can select Video settings (CodecName, BitRate, Size, FrameRate) and Audio settings (CodecName, BitRate, SampleRate, Channels) for your reference.

In addition, you can optimize the aspect ratio of the video file to meet the ratio of your PS3 acceptable. Then click “OK” to save the setting.
4. Set the output formats and the destination folder.
you can choose the format and the location you want from the lists of the drop-down profiles of “Format” and “Output”.
5. Start conversion by clicking the “Start” button.
Part two: Converting DVD to mp4 for playback on PS3.
1. First download and install this program Moyea DVD Ripper.
2. Import DVD files into this program by clicking the “Add” button.
3. Set subtitle, audio track, angle, and merge into one file.
If the DVD contains more than one language as well as the audio track, you can select the language from the drop-down list of “Subtitle” and “Audio”. In addition, you can change the camera angle from the drop-down list of “Angle”.

If you want to combine several files together to enjoy them without any interruption, just tick the “Merge into one file” button.
4. Set advanced settings.
5. Set the output format and the destination folder
6. Start conversion.
Part three: Adding and playing the converted video mp4 to PS3.
In fact, PlayStation 3 can accept comprehensive external devices including Video iPod, Sony Memory Stick, CF Card, Mimi SD Card, Hard Disk and USB Flash Drive. Select the videos you want to enjoy in one of the external devices after adding the converted videos, you can play it directly in the external device or just copy it to PS3 hard drive.

Actually, PlayStation 3 offers 4 screen models, that is Normal, Zoom, Original and Full Screen. According to my own experience, it is better to select the first two models because the last one may make the image distorted.

Well, just enjoy the videos or DVDs freely and comfortably.

Thanks for your sharing.
In fact, I am now using the moyea Video Converter program for several weeks.
I prefer the program as its after-sale service is good. Last week, I encountered a problem and sent it to them, they replied and solved my problem on time.
